An office with glass, concrete, and a smooth floor sounds harsh. The sound has nothing to get absorbed in, so it bounces around and everyone starts talking louder. Acoustic panels made of PET felt solve that without you having to alter the building.
What the material does
PET felt is made from recycled plastic fibers. That fiber structure absorbs primarily mid and high frequencies: precisely the range where speech occurs. The result is not so much quieter, but calmer. Conversations carry less far and the reverberation noticeably decreases.
Where you hang them
Panels work best against opposing hard surfaces, so on the ceiling or on the wall directly opposite a bank of windows. You do not need to cover an entire wall: a portion of the surface already produces a noticeable difference.
Shape and color
The material is easy to mill, so panels do not have to be rectangular. Slats, round shapes and milled logos are all possible. We deliver custom-milled products, so you only need to assemble them on location.
