About planobond
All About planobondPlanobond is a high-quality aluminum composite panel (ACP/ACM), also known as an aluminum sandwich panel, Alupanel, Vibond, or Dibond. The panel consists of a three-part sandwich construction: top layers of 0.3 mm thick aluminum with a core of strong polyethylene plastic. This combination makes the sheet not only durable, but also resistant to various chemicals such as acids, oils, and strong solvents, and insensitive to temperature fluctuations.
One of the main advantages is its light weight, which ensures easy transport and handling. Thanks to the sturdy core, the flat aluminum surface offers excellent resistance to bending, making it ideal for printing: UV printing techniques make it possible to print images directly and razor-sharp onto the panel.
Planobond is versatile and easy to work with: sawing, contour routing, gluing, and bending (using a V-groove) are all among the possibilities. That makes the material perfect for outdoor signage, exhibition stand and display construction, and facade cladding, where the quality is maintained for years.

Frequently asked questions about this material
What is the difference between Planobond and Alucobond?
Both are aluminum composite panels. Planobond has a polyethylene core and is the budget-friendly choice for signage and display construction. Alucobond® features a fire-retardant (B1) or non-combustible (A2) mineral core, making it the choice for facades subject to fire safety requirements.
Can Planobond be bent?
Yes, by milling a V-groove in the back, the panel can be folded neatly. This allows for the creation of tubes, cassettes, and corners.
Is Planobond suitable for outdoor use?
Yes, Planobond is extremely weather-resistant and insensitive to temperature fluctuations. The quality remains intact for years, even as cladding.
Can Planobond be printed on?
Yes, the flat aluminum surface is ideal for UV printing: images are printed directly and with razor-sharp clarity on the panel.
What sizes and colors are available?
White (approx. RAL 9003) in various sizes in 2, 3, 4, and 6 mm. Colors in 3050 × 1500 mm, 3 mm, standard matte/gloss. Custom colors, thicknesses, and sizes available upon request.
