Polyethylene (HDPE) is easy to process and resistant to higher ambient temperatures. It is impact-resistant and does not splinter. Polyethylene is food-safe (on request) and is widely used for, among other things, drinking water storage and transport.
The material can be processed by Plano Plastics as desired. We are happy to use our knowledge to think along with you and ultimately achieve a perfect end result.

Applications
Food industry: cutting boards and countertops
Drinking water storage and transport
Gliding strips and wear parts
Chemically stressed environments and tank construction
Yes, PE is available on request in food-grade quality and is widely used for cutting boards, bread boards, and drinking water applications.
Can PE be glued?
No, polyethylene does not bond well due to its low surface energy. We make joints mechanically or by welding.
Is PE suitable for outdoor use?
Yes, PE absorbs hardly any water and is resistant to many weather conditions. For long-term UV exposure, we recommend a black (UV-stable) version.
Which thicknesses are available from stock?
HDPE 300 in black (RAL 9011) is available as standard in thicknesses of 2 to 25 mm. Other qualities, colors and formats available on request.
Is PE resistant to chemicals?
Yes, PE has a very high chemical resistance and is therefore widely used in chemically demanding environments and tank construction.
