Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need experience with CNC machines?

Experience is a plus, but not a requirement. We will fully train you on our machinery. What matters is that you have a technical aptitude, work accurately, and are motivated to learn the trade.

What does a workday at Plano look like?

You start by working on that day’s work orders. Then you work at the machine or in the warehouse, in coordination with your coworkers. No two days are the same: one order might be a single sheet, while another could be a batch of a thousand.

What are the working hours, and is there a shift schedule?

We work day shifts, from Monday through Friday. No nights and no weekends. Start and end times are negotiable to fit your home situation.

What career advancement opportunities are available?

Plenty. We train people internally to become operators, all-round employees, or team leaders. We pay for training courses and certificates, such as a forklift certificate.

What does the application process look like?

Submit the form, and you’ll hear back within two business days. This will be followed by an on-site introductory meeting that includes a tour of the facility, and usually a second interview. You’ll hear back shortly after that to find out if we’ve reached an agreement.

Can I also send a speculative application?

Certainly. If there is no suitable vacancy open, use the same form or call us. We will keep your details for four weeks, or longer if you give permission to do so.
